    won't get past the Windows screen--just sits there looking at you--

    can't re-format cause when you put the recovery cd in then reboot it still just sits there and looks at you

    It's Destiny's computer and there probably is a lot of porn on it.

    It booted up awhile ago but the recovery cd didn't show up. I went and opened it manually and it just sit there looking at me. Never gave me the options to recover or reformatt.

    Go into the BIOS and set it to boot from the CD.

    now it comes on and seems to be fine unless you run a virus scan then about half way through it goes to a black screen.

    Don't run the virus scan. Or stop it at 1/3.
