I'll believe when Vick actually gets suspended, until then I am cautiously optomistic that Goodell won't play favorites with poster boys.

Is it possible that with stricter conduct rules the Bengals would be unable to field a team?:laugh3:

I won't believe it (he'll go down for this) until it happens. Remember the argument over whether or not Vick should get praise for his Va Tech victim's donations or not. Wasn't that $10,000? Or was it more?

The timing here seems very peculiar. this alleged witness has put Vick at a dog fight in 2000, over 7 years ago That seems pretty long and may be outside the statute of limitations in Virginny. The other part is that the event occcured before Vick was drafted. It's unlikely that the NFL could now punish him for that. Even Jamal Lewis's fun with the league was because his "event"was after the draft (but before signing a contract).

    A Few Good Men

Goodell: "Mr. Vick, did you attend the dog fight!"

Vick: "Your God damn right I did!"

The least that happens is he's non grata with the general public. Barring an even worse incident, when people hear his name from now on they're gonna picture doggie jugulars being bit in half. He should have gone for bullfighting.

Not only that, who in the hell is going to have 30 grand cash to bet on a dog fight before they are even drafted?

I think if my employer found out I was doing something illegal I would be fire immediately. Sounds like a good plan.
