    We're ripping up carpet over some flooring that had origionally been tile. What's the best 'stuff' to use to bring the tile back to, hopefully, reasonably good condition?

    did they use glue on the carpet? Man who ever put carpet over tile should be shot.

    It is odd isn't it? I say that they almost had to have glued it. They couldn't staple/nail it around the edges.

    he never said if it was like ceramic tile or vinyl or what.

    Tile is tile, vinyl is vinyl. Pretty hard to miss the difference.

    Kind of what I thought. I don't consider the squares of vinyl that you stick down to be tile.
