And you should just say to Jake, "stick it in when I bend over".

I dont deny the fact that the numbers show that Jake had a bad year, we werent going to the playoffs, why not give those other guys a shot. By giving Weinke a chance, we now know he does in fact suck, and were able to go out and get a guy who is better.

Also, good job on your research by the way.

Obviously you lack comprehension skills, did I say those numbers were in Carr's favor?

The two years you give so much credit to Delhomme in the above team numbers are a reflection of the team he was on. The first time playoff run we made was behind Stephen Davis, the second was behind Steve Smith, Delhomme was along for the ride, you saw what happened last year when he didnt have those two things, or the 7-9 year for that matter.

Anybody who claimed that Weinke had more poise than Delhomme, has no creditility as far as I'm concerned. There's a big difference between being poised and being a fucking robot.

That was all Delhomme in the Jacksonville game to get win No. 1 back in '03. During the middle part of the season I would not argue that Delhomme was more about "not losing" than "carrying a team". However, the later part of the season and the Super Bowl run, Delhomme was a very key element. If you recall, Davis broke down the later part of the 2003 season so we did not make our final push with him being much of a factor. In the TB 27-24 win, with 2:41 left in the game Delhomme hit Mangum/Hankton/Proehl/Moose/Smith to move us 78 yards on 6 plays with only 2:41 left in the game...."along for the ride". In the 17-14 win over Arizona, he put together a 93 yard game winning drive at the start of the 4th quarter that included pass completions to Smith/Davis/Mangum/Foster. In the 20-14 win over Detroit, with Stephen Davis out again, Delhomme completed 29 of 35 passes "along for the ride".

As for the playoff run: Delhomme's QB Ratings were: 104.5, 96.6, 109.5, and 113.6 in the Super Bowl. Stephen Davis ran for: 104, 86, 76, and 49 in the Super Bowl.

The 2003 season was a true TEAM run with many different heroes each week. Many would suggest it was Delhomme's heart and fire that inspired that effort. To suggest he was "along for the ride" is just silly.

I was about 12 rows up in the endzone at that game. Best game I've every been too. Late in the game before the game winning drive Keenan caught an unbelievable TD pass to go up. I was so into that game. It's the closest I've come to crying when I thought we were going to lose but the joy was that much sweeter when Jake brought us back. For that and numerous other moments I'll always be a Jake homer.

you said: "when I compare the numbers, which Ive posted for everyones viewing pleasure, I think Carr is better."

You took those numbers to believe Carr is better. So now you're either saying you can't interpret numbers, or that despite logic and reason, you still pick Carr. Which?

I know that you're saying that Jake doesn't deserve his numbers because his team was good, and that you can excuse Carr's numbers because he didn't have as good a team (and of course, because he's not Jake).

    that's silly.
don't ever remember anyone saying that the 2003 season was an especially good one statistically or that he was the primary reason. In the playoffs, he was, save Philly when we simply ran out the second half.
