dwayne jarrett was one of the best in the NCAA last year and was predicted in some mocks to go in the mid to late first round. snagging him in the second round to me was a great decision. he's 6'4" 220, and from what i saw of him last year he was pretty good. just out of curiousity, why don't some like the pick?

I've seen his lack of top speed cited.

I haven't seen that. I wouldnt say he's the most mature guy, but I think "bad" is too much.

Poor work ethic and me-first attitude according to USC coaches. They weren't sad to see him go.

OK. Let's see what Keyshawn can do with him.

Read it. Heard him compared to Plax.

He can piss and moan, and grab 50 balls next year, and we're cool. Hard to be a primadonna behind Smitty and Key. Down the road, could present problems. But who knows? It's good value, for where he was taken. If he bombs, ok......so we missed out on a crop of mediocre safeties. I suppose the braintrust might be thinking "shit, if we're looking for our safety of the future, why do it this year?" We had shots at Hamlin (and others).

    And we have Carter.

I like the pick. Steve Smith didn't have the best attitude till he matured. This gives us pretty good 3rd WR options. We can use Carter to stretch the deep field and Jarrett when we get to the red zone.

Steve Smith had an aggressiveness problem. Jarrett has a laziness problem. They aren't comparable.
