Coach Fox will manage it as well as he can. But this has the potential to get ugly. Carr is an upgrade over Weinke and I am happy about that. But I have said it before, we do not want a QB Controversy. The media and many of the fans just will not let it go.

It was bad enough last year with Weinke at #2. We'll hear even more about it anytime Jake makes a bad throw this year.

    With Carr here
Jake will either get aggresive and play better
Or get conservative trying not to make mistakes and thus create the Q B controversy.

Its all in Jakes hands .
    Jake controls his own destiny

There is no controversy, Jake is #1, David is #2. It's Jake's job to lose.

You know when the non-sports press does things like this, its called yellow journalism, and is considered very unprofessional. Of course, the press starting a war (our invasion of Cuba, Spanish-American Way) is probably more important that trying to disrupt a team.

I don't put much stock in the ability of fans and media to manufacture QB controversies. I think it either germinates in the locker room or not at all, and it can't take root unless there are some valid reasons for players to buy into it.

Media and message boards can say what they want. Heck, they spent loads of time last year searching for some hint of discord between Smith and Johnson, but that never happened either.
