I'm leaning towards it. Fuck Time Warner.

If you have an outdoor antenna, it's pretty damn good, from what I've seen.

I use a little RCA antenna on ours that picks up all the Charlotte stations and Spartanburg. Most of the channels are stable, but a couple are iffy. It's all the HD I need for what I'm paying for digital cable. I'd get ESPNHD over the cable if I could get just that.

There's 6 stations I'm supposed to be able to get with a decent antenna. Two in Charlotte, one in Concord, Two in Greensboro, and one in Lexington. I think I'm going to try that before I spend money on cable tv.

That would work well for you since you have basic TV needs.

Cool. Keep us posted. What equipment you buy, etc. Maybe a picture or two if you're having any issues?

I should be hooking it up next week. The HDtv signals don't need a special antenna do they? I've found a few sites claiming to sell digital over-air antennas, but they seem to contain a converter box. My tv has the converter in it if I am to believe what I've read.

Problem is, all these stations also send out an analog signal. I'm thinking my tv has a different set of channels for analog and digital.

If you move to Albemarle you won't pickup shit with an Antenna. I've never fuckin' understood that. Its like this black hole from hell. Its Cable or Dish or nothing.
