How much would Harrington cost and would he be willing to accept a backup role? He definitely doesn't have what it takes to be the starter and if he wants to go somewhere with a chance to grab the top spot it'll just be trouble if he comes here.

    Just a rumor, but...

if we (the Panthers) want Harrington, we better get a move on in talking to his agent, because rumors are he may go the CFL.

    SI "Truth and Rumors" section:

First, it was running back Ricky Williams. Now, it might be quarterback Joey Harrington. A year after retaining the rights of the Dolphins' suspended running back to play in the Canadian Football League, the Toronto Argonauts have now shown similar interest in the team's ousted quarterback.

If he is considering the CFL then we must be the only team remotely interested in him.

That blurb said they were interested in him, not the other way around. I would be surprised if he went. Running QBs tend to do well there, I think. At least mobile QBs.

Hmmmmm. Peyton Manning is on the list 4 times! I wonder why Wonderboy Vick isn't on the list?

I remember that game. It was awful. But we had them. Steve fumbled a punt with about 4 minutes to go that set up the tying field goal. I just looked back at the gamebook...not pretty. seven three and outs for carolina. five for tampa. Longest scoring drive of the day was 44 yards. We had two first downs in the first half...one of them by penalty. We had seven yards of offense in the fourth quarter.

Remember TB was alternating between their 2nd and 3rd string QBs too.

Who's the surfer guy that played for the bills? We demolished him that day.

Not really. Rob Johnson (the guy you were thinking of Meat) played most of the game but was hurt on the final drive. Shaun King completed his only attempt of the game to get them a little closer. Otherwise, they would have been looking at a 50+ yarder to win the game. Of course, there was no way in hell we were going to move the ball in Overtime so we were probably going to lose the game anyway.
