I definitely think we can upgrade Hoover. But if we do, I'll be sad.

Hoover has been a team player. Props for that. But an upgrade at the position equals more wins (theoretically).

Hoover would suprise me, unless they've totally fallen in love with Mughelli (who is probably a better blocker, but not as versitile). Weinke shouldn't suprise anyone, if you watched him back in December. We do need a better back-up plan.

I would hate to see the cats cut Hooover. Not only is Hooover a fan favorite. But maybe more important he is a team player. With that said I would not be Surprise To see Hoover play for anther team next year. Because we all ready have nick goings who can play FB or RB. A hard worker a team player a fan favorite. If Hooover was a better blocker there is no question that the panthers would be crazy to release him

it's just speculation. I think Weinke's quite possibly on the way out, but they could easily get a blocking FB without it endangering Hoover's spot on a roster. If that player started over Hoover, that's when he'd be a little more tenuous around cutdowns and next season's cuts.

I am a big Hoover fan, but I get the business part of this....assuming we could upgrade. I just don't see Goins as the solution though at FB. In fact, while he has come through pretty big for us at times, he has had a concussion or 2 and I would hate to put all my eggs into that baskett ala Morgan.

I think that FB that went to Atl was the only consideration. I don't think anyone else availalbe is better than Hoover.
