The problem with a list like this is it doesn't break down what they'd actually cost to cut.

we'd save salary only unless the player is cut before an additional bonus (reporting, workout, etc) outside the original signing bonus kicks in correct?

    The Black Hole NFL Salaries...

I'm giving away the MOAS, but if everyone takes this--->
    1.)Players Association link
    2.)Click on Active Player Search
3.) Select Year, Team, and Position
4.) Then it displays the NFLPA Compensation for players in that Position Under Contract
5.) You would not find Drew Carter with a 2007 Search
6.) I found that slelecting ALL did not give all team members, just enough to fit on the page.

    http://www.nflpa.org/Resources/Resources.aspx

    Results for 2006 Running Backs:

    Player Name Position Team Compensation
    Foster, DeShaun RB CP 1000000.00
    Goings, Nick RB CP 600000.00
    Hoover, Brad RB CP 825000.00
    Jackson, Steven RB CP 275000.00
    Shelton, Eric RB CP 310000.00
    Williams, DeAngelo RB CP 275000.00

The other two useful links that only go back to 2005 are these...they will update the USA Today Database sometime for 2006...maybe by July again....RED

I wish they would break it down in base salary - bonuses to be paid this year - proration of the signing bonus - past base salary accounted for in this year's cap.

I've got to think alot of that 10 mil for Jake is due to past restructuring. Some of the others too. But I'd like to know.

In addition to all the above contract and salary stuff...more Info you won't find find laying around at Panther.com....

Don't be surprised to see the Panthers go after a pass-catching tight end in free agency or the NFL draft.
That's because new offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson likes having the tight end as a part of the passing game. Davidson spent 10 games last season as Cleveland's offensive coordinator and Kellen Winslow led the team with 89 catches.
As for throwing to the tight end, something that has been a rarity in the Carolina offense since Henning's arrival, Davidson said, "I don't want to compare myself to Dan Henning or other coaches, but do I think the tight end is important in the passing game? Yes I do. I would like to involve the tight end and, really, all of the receivers on the field. So it would be unfair to say that I'm going to go in there with the plan to throw it to Steve Smith on every play. That plan will not be in the system.
"We will have a progression that we will work through. If Steve Smith is the first one in that progression and he's open, then that's where we are throwing the ball. If the tight end is the first progression and he's open, then that's where we're throwing the ball. If the tight end is second in the progression and we were unable to get the first guy the ball then we will throw to the tight end.
"So yes, the tight end will be involved. When I took over Cleveland's offense last year we ended up throwing to the tight end the majority of the time."
--The Panthers will have a tough decision in regard to one of their restricted free agents (RFAs), wide receiver Drew Carter.
If they offer the low tender to Carter ($850,000 for one year), there's a good chance another team will make a run at signing him to an offer sheet since they would only need to surrender a fifth-round pick. However, if the Panthers give him the next level of tender ($1.3 million for one year) it requires another team to give up a first-round pick to get him, which will scare away most teams. Look for the Panthers to try very hard to avoid the entire situation by signing Carter to a cap friendly two- or three-year contract.
