    Opening night is always hosted by the defending champs, usually against some kind of interconference contender.

    Which opening night game would be your choice?

    I'd like to see something new, like Indy/New Orleans. That said, I'll be very suprised if it isn't another Colts v. Pats match-up.

    As a perk for winning the Super Bowl, the Colts will likely open the 2007 season at home on national television on a Thursday night. Look for the Colts to play either New England or New Orleans. Both are scheduled to visit Indianapolis next fall, and both played in conference championship games last month. My guess is New Orleans. Many experts believed that would be the Super Bowl matchup – and New Orleans also is Peyton Manning's hometown. The NFL will save the New England game for the television sweeps in November.
