I'm thinking ol' Jerry made Dan go away. Foxy wouldn't.

    Thoughts?

It doesn't seem like a decision Fox would make on his own.

It doesn't even seem like a decision he would make half-way on his own.

To me, this move means more than getting the O back on track. Fox is getting squeezed for the first time.

Fox did not make this decision, I'd say.

It might explain the delay. Once the season was over and Dan was still here I thought he might be safe.

I always thought Dan called the games the way Fox wanted.

Could Dan resurface in Dallas? They don't have a pure OC right now. More of an OC-by-comittee. I know Parcells has a mutual man-crush on DH.

Who knows. Why would Fox not make this decision? He took over play calling (at least deciding run v. pass) in the Atlanta game. I'm not saying he did make the decision. But saying he clearly did not is insulting to Fox. Would he never evaluate his staff? If he were merely scapegoating, he surely would have fired Crossman too. Does he not care about winning?

Just because some here think Henning should not have been fired does not mean that Fox could not not possibly think so. Just becuase I think he should have been fired does not mean Fox agreed.

Since all the FO, including Fox, routinely lies to us, we will never know, unless someone has some really solid inside info.

I assume JR asked for some change. Certainly, the two of them agreed the offense just wasn't enough. I don't think it would be "you fire Henning, or I fire you", no. Things are far from that situation. You don't do that unless you're ready to fire Fox, and I don't think that's the situation at all.

I think you're onto it. Probably was something like, "John, we really need to do something more powerful on offense. What we did this year was very unimaginative."

"Well, OK, JR, I'll work on it."
