Quote I can only tell you that it's the same plays that almost won us a Super Bowl and took us to an NFC Championship game.

    There is the problem
    The Same Plays

1]Every defense out there knows those plays
2] The RB now is differnt than the RB in those seasons

Panthers need some new plays in their playbook

so which is it mags? you wishing on henning a hanging, a sex change, or just some tender ears?

i know you don't want to be seen at the forefront of the mob calling for his head but it is obvious that you're intent on making sure the the flame gets continuously fanned. your attempt to seem like simply a fairly, intelligently reasoning fan and hide your hatred is becoming transparent.

I'm hoping Dan retires. So i guess that puts me in the "mob" also. We could stick with "average/marginal" or take a chance on a new guy who could be something special. I'd like to see something other than the Dan Henning show for a change.

I'd say that talking about things that are happening on the field rather than complaining someone's saying something they don't like, is the more rational approach.

You defended him last week. You defended him five years ago. Using the exact same rationales as if the last five years meant absolutely nothing. And that's cool. I respect that. I'm not asking for him to go. I just want better football than we have. I know we can do better, with Dan Henning here or without him.

The OL was on drugs in 2003. Mitchell, Donelly, and Stussie (that we know about).

We got some favorable matchups in 2005.

That said, I don't mind being conservative. I do mind being dumb. They're not the same thing. Our OL have to block 2 defenders apiece. Teams with good running games usually only have to block 1. For those teams, the D's don't know exactly where the play will go, and they get it going fast enough where the D doesn't have all day to respond.

I really like John Fox and everything he stands for,,,,,,, the only thing that has ever bothered me about him is his philosophy on "punts are not always a bad thing". Whether its the players not executing or questionable play-calling, the Head Coach is ultimately responsible,,, and Fox (to me) has always just been more comfortable with us punting 90 times in the first half,,, and I'm sorry but I think this team is better than getting into a punting contest with many of the teams that we do.

As for running the same plays that we ran when we went to the Super Bowl, I think Coach Fox is smart enough to know that occasionally you have to change things up so that everyone don't know whats coming next. We haven't done a very good job of play-calling this year in addition to the poor execution.
