QB situation for 2007

Discussion in 'Carolina Panthers' started by Toll Booth Willie, Nov 27, 2006.

What will we do at QB next year?

  1. Spend a high draft pick on a QB to groom for the future

certainly greater without a good 2nd WR, since Colbert was a good #2 in 04 (and down went Proehl's TDs and % FD). Keyshawn is able to do what Proehl would and be a starter also - the difference is we've not seen as much of 3rd down Key in the slot. Might deal with whatever the Carter problem is (speaking of which, he was 3 for 15 with obviously no first downs)

Y'all are cracking me up with this "draft a QB and groom him" nonsense. Since when do we have any offensive coach able or willing to groom a QB? We don't even have one who's capable of preventing an average 8-year veteran QB from regressing.

I voted nothing not because that's what I want, but that's what I believe the team will do. I think if there's someone there in a late pick they might go with it, but I don't think they'll have "draft a really good future QB" on their board unless Jake finishes the season like yesterday.

Until they change some of the stupid play calls bringing in another person is pointless. I love how when a team struggles its always the knee jerk response. While we are at it Peppers has not had a sack in two weeks lets draft someone to replace him to oh and trade Weinke for Peyton Manning hummm thats about all the dumb as shit ideas I can come up with right now. Oh wait I have one more note to self start another thread about Jake.

see this is silly. he undoubted played well enough in 2003 to win. the defense and john kasay let him down in the super bowl.

if the panthers would have won that game, Delhomme would have been the SB MVP, not Tom Brady.

What is knee jerk about wanting to groom a QB? I haven't seen anyone suggest they draft one and start him.
