What other offense in the league lacks a genuine audible? If you're going to read the play and decide it doesn't work, you should be able to call the correct play for the read. That option isn't available.

Jimmy McGinty: Falco! If I had wanted Cochran to have the ball I would've called it that way!
    Shane Falco: I read blitz.
Jimmy McGinty: Bullshit! I put the game in your hands... you got scared.
    Shane Falco: I READ BLITZ.
Jimmy McGinty: [walks over and looks at Falco with disgust] Winners always want the ball... when the game is on the line.

I think the last line sums up my feelings on the subject pretty well.

It completely fails to address why our offense lacks actual audibles, or that Henning called the draw since that was the other option given.

It also lacks reality - at no point has JD ever been scared to have the ball in pressure situations.

"He also was somewhat responsible for those two late draw plays -- both were run-pass options with Delhomme calling the play at the line. Delhomme decided that Washington was playing its safeties deep enough on both plays that a run would work better than a pass."
