Keyshawn disses Randy Moss

Obviously, yeah, just like New York and Chicago did back in January. Then Seattle comes along, quietly, and proves that they were the best team in the NFC.

Bulletin board material may or may not effect a game, but I think it can/does. Will it make a average or bad team beat a champion? Maybe - I think in the early years Carolina whooped SF in Candlestick because SF was trash talking and assuming a win and Carolina came in a quietly/angrily kicked their butts. We all have days at work that we're less "on and focused" and the same thing happens to athletes except when they have even a "slightly off" day, it can spell loss. Trash talking an opponent can get guys who might not always have their head in the game very focused and can come back to bite you in the a@@. That, Stagazer is the not sarcastic reason folks are making and issue out of these news columns. What team was it - who said they saw fear in the eyes of our secondary? Our secondary at the rematch was slobber knocking anyone who ventured into their territory. It may seem like a non issue, but often it isn't. Smoot dished Smith before Smith used him as film study in how NOT to cover your man.

 

fwiw, i read that whole keyshawn article, and i didn't think he was dissing randy at all. i thought he was saying randy was the same world class receiver. i thought he was poking fun at folks who think somehow randy lost something - rather than saying randy lost something. - like folks who think the edge has lost something rather than blaming the cards line.

anyway, that's the spirit i took the entire article in. that quote just didn't look like that inside the rest.
