I've expected a lot more from him. He doesn't play with good leverage much.

Jenks didn't get a stat line, but he seemed to get more attention, double teams, and still was disruptive.

A win with three turnovers sure beats losing with none. I'll fucking take it, and move on to next week.

Tough test next week. Should be able to run the ball though, and again the week aftet vs. Cleveland (particularly is Hartwig gets back in)

That was embarassing with Cadillac drove him into the endzone. A man the size of Kemo should shut that down. It is hard to believe we have Jenkins and Kemo replacing Carstens and Buckner but our run D is not nearly as good.

I agree it was not a real confidence building win but it is still a win. If we have not called that stupid trick play last week we would be 2-1. I expect us to get this fixed and to be playing well by mid season I just hope we are not too far in a hole to get out of by then. 0-3 would have been brutal.

It FEELS like 0-3, but I'll take it. And you know Bucs fans feel even worse - not just because they ARE 0-3.

...I'll take the win...ugly or not...but no doubt...we have some "issues"...the turnovers and penalties almost did us in...

I don't think anyone other than Thelt thought he could bring anything to the pass rush but I at least expected to see his effect on run defense. I'd almost rather Carstens be the starter there now.

Carstens was inactive. Was he hurt?

The way he played last week, I'd at least give him more of Kemo's reps.

I've seen all Tampa's games. The difference in this game and their first two is the Ravens and Falcons put a lot of pressure on Simms and kept him confused. When they weren't pressuring him, they had their hands up blocking passes. We gave him enough time to allow him to regain his poise. They have to be delighted that we let them get out of the "three and out" cycle they were in.

I couldn't figure why we didn't blitz and pressure Simms more. Especially after he pulled that Paterno and had to go to the locker room.
