Last time he was here, I remember Brown being very quick, and getting into the backfield several times, but being pushed around in run D. Anyone see if he was doing well when he wasn't slicing into the backfield?

Shelton looked good against the second string.

McClover got good pressure on the quarterback and also made a brilliant block on special teams that popped Hill's cutback return. Moorehead also showed that he can probably play LDE. Tony Brown looked good at DT as well, so the D-line cuts are going to be incredibly difficult. If we keep 9, I'd keep McClover and Brown while cutting Moorehead and Haye, but it could go the opposite way just as easily.

Not to be a smart ass, but it's Taye Biddle for whatever it's worth, although I don't think it will matter. He is fast though.

I have to say I am really liking James Anderson. I know he's not a bubble guy, but he is impressive. I wouldn't be surprised to see him starting at WLB next year.

Ellison has been a big disappointment to me. I liked the pick when they made it, but he seems way too passive. Last year's draft outside of Davis, Mathis and Seward was not very good, especially considering Shelton and Ellison were first day picks. This year's draft looks like it will make up for that. Looks like we could have Williams, Marshall, Anderson, Salley and Montgomery make the roster and possibly King on the PS.

I like Basanez better overall. He has a really good arm and seems to read defenses a little bit better than LeFors. LeFors just doesn't show me anything. I know it's pointless to disect the battle for the #3 QB, but it's a good thing too, because that means there are really no unsettled starting jobs.

Biddle actually had a pretty bad game last night too. He had two drops, when I hadn't seen him drop anything else all preseason or the day I visited camp.

Yeah, Biddle probably destroyed any remote chance he had with those drops. He did make a key grab on our final drive, but coaches are going to look at the whole, not parts. He's been solid, overall, but hasn't made enough outstanding plays. He's had some chances on a few deep balls, but failed to lay out for them. All of his grabs have come on screens and short routes, against #3 and #4 DB's.

It also hurts that he can't do much on special teams. We've been using him at gunner. Made one nice play against Miami, but he only has speed to rely on, and his lack of strength makes him too blockable.

Wow, The NFL channel are idiots... missed the replay today because they moved the game up 3 hours before the schedule said it would be on... without changing the schedule.

Came home at 2:30 to catch the game at 3, the schedule had our game set for 3pm... and it was going off, wtf?

They put an ncaa show on at 3pm that isn't even on the schedule... fuckin morons.

i caught the replay by accident. fucking buerline. in the 4th when the pitt returner spiked it after slipping down, buerline said that it was a fumble, that a spike wasn't a forward pass. he's a fucking quarterback who has spiked the ball. what a fucking idiot. i missed this the other night because i was drinking a little moonshine.

Has he been in the patch?

I'm with you, Buck. . . accidentally stumbled on the game replay at 1 p.m. sted of the 4 on the schedule. . . I was a LeFlors fan, but Basanez obviously is a superior talent in every respect. . . What I want to know is why did John Fox steal that watermelon he's carrying around?
