Anyone got a home automation setup or know a lot about it? I wanted to do some simple light controls, then figured I should just make all switchs X10 and have my PC control everything.

    HAAAAPPPYYYY BDAY!!!

FYI: the 680 was on sale for $99 this week somewhere...

I'm trying to see if X10 is reliable - I've heard of issues.

I've seen it in action. I wasn't too impressed. More toy than functional at this stage IMO.

I have a bunch of stuff I used for a little while. It's pretty cool but if the modules are on different circuits then they don't work all the time. I can come home and turn on every light from the car.

If you want some of the stuff I have.... You can get it cheap.

What do you need? I had my whole voice controlled once. (with a lapel mic). There are a lot of things you can do. Such as Automation and calling in to turn devices on, or controlling them by the internet.

    Hollar!
