he took sacks because Beasley couldn't block a paraplegic if he had to.

Damn, I was hoping some of our backup OL's would do good

I am looking at the nfl site and I saw that Stenovitch played... I hope this kid can do well. There are a lot of Wolverine O Linemen playing in the league... They seem to have a good program for Olinemen up there so I've been told.

Other than the starters, The nfl site says Kadela, Hangartner,Stenavich, Montgomery, and Beasley played.

    O'Connor, S.Peters, A.Toeaina, K.Carberry, Q.Mitchell, and R.Butler did not see the field tonight.

Of all the punt returns Hill has neen on the field for, how many has he actually fielded? I just don`t see it with him. I thought Robertson did a good job, but I didn`t like Haynes tripping over the pile to not up the 6 inches for the first down.

I wish Biddle could return kicks or punts. As it is now, he doesn't have much of a chance.

Beasley has looked like a can of smashed assholes. I have no idea why he's working as the 2nd team LT. Get him off of my team. Now. Please.

Hangartner was improved. Made a nice pull block in the 3rd quarter, and did a better job taking the fight to his man. I was encouraged.

Marshall and Bush both played well, and I'm starting to think we'll carry 5 CB's.

Weinke was so-so. Made some nice throws that could have been completed.

Efrem bounced back nicely. He actually caught his punts this time, which is a good start, and broke a decent return in the 1st quarter.

Haynes, Robertson, and Shelton all looked good. Shelton has looked particularly better in blitz pickup, something that he struggled with in his rookie season. DeAngelo didn't do much, but I'm convinced that we will put him in a better position to be successful as we go along.

Tony Brown looked solid, once again. Haye was okay, but didn't do anything that stood out. McClover is starting to use his quickness to get inside of the OT, something that I though he should have done more of last week.

Salley was off. Got beat on the TD, and should have been beaten on the last drive. He looked slow to react out there.

Overall, another good performance. Our reserves played a better game tonight, especially on defense. I'm still disturbed about the 2nd and 3rd team offense not being able to score points, but we did run the ball better. We're going to have to cut some very good players.

I missed the first quarter, but reading the game stats. The Jags punted 5 times and 2 were returned. I guess I missed those 2.
Seward looked good stopping a wide run that I remember.

That's a good thing. Some of those punts were subpar, so he made the right decisions, unlike last week.

I laughed at Hill one time where he didn't field a punt (that wasn't close to him) and was waving everyone away from it. It was just funny after watching him field stuff he should have let drop last week. I knew he'd been talked to. He's still scary though, that first game was horrible.

Hangartner's problem isn't his agility, it's his in-line strength, so he's going to look better on pulls. I thought it was interesting that he was playing center and Montgomery was playing RG on that series while the announcers were talking about Montgomery being the backup center. My guess is that they're actually prepping Will to be the top backup at both positions since he's the only one we have who doesn't suck.
Could be, but the roster crunch will make it tough. How many did we carry last year? Obviously we had Lucas, Gamble, Manning, and Wesley, but did we have someone else too?
The one was a solid return, but I agree with strat that he's still scary as hell. Why can't Hurney just draft a real punt returner in the fourth round? Was that really less necessary than a slow backup safety?
Yeah, that's the move I noted in the other thread. It was awesome to see him set up the tackle and then swim his inside shoulder and get right to the QB. I really hope we keep him because his upside is huge.
    :agreed:

    Concerns:
    #1) Short yardage running
    #2) Jake's decision-making
#3) Our LBs didn't cover well
