    their idea of covering the last 10 laps is to have every camera zero in on the leader, who is 300 yds. ahead of second place, and ignore all the bumping and banging (i.e. great racing) for position back in the pack.

    show the final run down after the race you say? points standings? hell no, they'll air 15 more minutes of commercials and victory burn-outs before they'll offer up that little tid-bit of info. gotta get those final 47 commercial ads in you know.

    I know I'm saying this because I despise Jeff Gordon but they need to adjust (or get rid of) that stupid "lucky dog" rule.

    I loved the part when they came back from commercial to show the thirty something place car, Dale jr, drive about 200 ft off pit road and then went back to a commercial.

    I'm lost...
    That's what I generally do as well.

    It seems they stay on commercials until a caution comes out, then they cut back to the race (after the commercial is over of course) and show you a replay of what already happened while they were busy cashing in on their commercials.... Then we go BACK to commercial until the pits open, and then once the leaders pit, we go BACK to commercial until the green flag comes back out. 5 laps of green flag racing and back to commercial again.

    NBC= Nothing But Commercials

    I generally pause the race on the DVR for an hour and then watch it. fast foward through all of the commercials. but they(NBC) are awful. You would think they could get some pointers from FOX who has 100x's better coverage, year after year. Webbers voice gets on my nerves. And how many times can they say "lucky Dog". stupid rule, and even stupider name they utter at least every two minutes. and as noted, they always play an entire commercial only to come back and there is a wreck that happened with no replay. they blurt out shit before actually knowing what happened. they get drivers names wrong all the time. and not to mention you can never guess which channel the race will be on, TNT, TBS or actually NBC. even the ticker is too big and colored funny and doesnt even sit all the way to the top of the screen.

    I was dissapointed that they cut away from the team kissing the bricks to a stupid highlight package that showed Biffle spin, Johnson win and get hugged by his crew. Who cares? I'd rather show them do that lineup kissing the bricks.

    Here I'm trying to explain to my wife about the Brickyard, why it's called that, the tradition to kiss the bricks, etc. Then they cut to the pointless highlight package. They didn't even tag the end of the highlights with the bricks. Hell American Idol can find a way to squeeze in the last singer less than a minute after they sang (oh wait, that's Fox! :ylsuper: )

    I know they were running against time, but please, either show the traditions or at least give us a meaningful highlight package.

    What did you fuckers expect from racing? It's a traveling fucking billboard already, stuffing products down your throat, and you're complaining about commercials on t.v.? The Coca-Cola 600 of the Nextel Cup Series. What do you call that? What is Tony Stewart except a whore for Home Depot? How about Dale Jr. and Budweiser? Nascar sold out a long time ago, get over it.
