Bear with me, this is my first time on the internet writing a personal ad. I'm looking for a loving family, someone to call my own, someone who will love me as much as I love them, unconditionally! I have tons of love to give and I'm more than willing to share! :)

About me: My name is Angel. I am a black haired, brown eyed beauty with an athletic build. I am approximately 13 weeks old, although you can tell by my size in my pictures that I am almost past the point of picking me up, and holding me on your lap for more than a few minutes may cause your legs to fall asleep (my foster mommy doesn't recommend it)! My fur is soft & fluffy, and I have black spots on my tongue, but I am true to my retriever lineage in personality and activity. I love to play fetch, chew rawhide bones, and I get along well with other animals and children (that are puppy-energy tolerant).

I have been placed in foster care via the Charlotte Humane Society while I undergo a process my foster mommy called "adoption prep," which is apparently something that has to do with getting a lot of basic puppy shots (ouch!), and I should be placed on the adoption que (hopefully) in about a week. In the meantime I thought maybe I'd get a jump on the process and go looking for love on the internet, I mean hey, everyone else is doing it - right?!?!

My foster mom thinks I should add a few more things for honorable mention although I don't see the big deal, but she says they're important. In foster care I am being trained as an indoor dog, which will be best for my health and well being when I am older. Besides being well socialized (birds, dogs, cats and children), I have been collar, harness, leash, and crate trained. I ride well in a car, even on long one day trips to the beach and back. My mentor to house training (a big dog named Zac), has been a huge help in housebreaking me and I am now 1 week free from having had any accidents! I have been taught and am still working on memorizing "manners 101" which includes not begging from the table (my nose smells something good up there), chewing is for rawhide only (so far, so good), I will be too big to jump on furniture later so therefore I can not jump on it now (I don't see why not), and that even playful puppy biting is not acceptable (I have sharp puppy teeth & Zac hates it when I bite his ears)!

Lastly, I have to mention that if you have any questions regarding me, the adoption process, or if you'd like to fill out an application to adopt me in advance of my debut, please visit The Charlotte Humane Society. Serious inquiries only please.

Actually, she absolutely tortures him, but he takes it like a champ. He's such a good hearted dog.
Inquire via The Humane Society :)
She's a great dog, seriously. You may even find one or two you like more at the shelter :)
