My favorite Chicken Casserole

    Chicken Poppyseed

    2 pkg Ritz Crackers crushed.
    1 stick butter or margarine melted
    2 cups cooked chicken meat
    1T Poppyseed
    1 8oz. carton Sour Cream
    1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup

    Mix Cracker crumbs and poppy seeds with melted butter
    Spread half of mixture onto bottom of Pam'd casserole dish for crust
    Mix chopped up chicken meat, soup, and sour cream
    Spread on top of crust, and top with remaining crumbs
    Bake 350 for 30 minutes. (Can be made ahead of time and
    kept in freezer)

    Jes. The poppy seeds add no flavor that I can tell. Just gives it a slight crunch.

    This recipe isnt soggy, but makes a rather firm textured dish easy to slide out of a casserole dish neatly.

    Instead of crackers I use Pepperidge Farm savory bread crumbs.

    Instead of casseroles, I use big fat juicy cheeseburgers.
