pop-up ads

    I have not had a problem with popups in a few years..
    Now all of a sudden i have a pop up ad for winvirus or something like that...
    ive ran adware pro.. 2 virus programs.. ad nuker, spysweeper.. i have 2 types of pop up blockers on .... disabled the windows messenger service...
    i still get the pop up...

    any idea what i need to do to stop it...

    Did you run a scan on any of those in Safe Mode?

    i have done everything again in Safe Mode...

    Same pop-ups ... i give up...

    You ever use HijackThis? It will show you all your registry startups and other settings. It might help you track down the culprit.
