according to him, Foster is already on the IR so we are down to Goings and Williams at RB.

FWIW I do agree with B&B the Falcon's pass defense should be better, but they haven't gotten any better stopping the run. That's how Carolina beat Atlanta last year. That and they finally contained Vick. I'm curious how that will work this year with Davis being full time at LB, and as far as my original assertion that the pass defense is better makes me go back to Magnus's comments on the fact that the Panthers have Delhomme, Steve Smith and have added Johnson. Also I'd expect Colbert to be better as a slot receiver and Carter will be a year improved. So I think the Panthers' passing game has improved at the least enough to offset the Falcons pass defensive improvements. Foster knows how to shred the Falcons run D and I really don't expect any drop off if Williams is forced to take the load.

they do return Hartwell, who's an excellent run stopper. How much better will they be with just him? Dunno. Not top 5.

Also, releasing Stephen Davis will not hurt the running game. He scored 12 touchdowns, which was nice, and he was effective as a short-yardage back. But, unfortunately, he's done. Keeping him would have hurt us. Letting him go helps us. With the addition of Williams, and a strong blocker in Keyshawn (yeah, it's pretty retarded to not mention him), we've only improved our chances of having a better ground attack.

Im really excited about what Williams brings. IM not writing Foster off in any way but you know with the way we've used him he's gonna get a shot. Im really anitcipating a Cadillac type impact from him.

    Preseason should be lotsa fun.

No, it isn't likely, it's possible, and there's a big difference between those terms. Jenkins did show some ability last year, and he did have an ankle injury working against him for the better part of the season. However, I don't expect him to make a huge leap in production. As long as Crumpler is healthy, he will be the prefered target. Finneran had a solid season, quitely, and could very well be Atlanta's best outside threat. I can see him as the starting split end, leaving it up to Jenkins and White to compete for the flanker job. It's a solid group of players, but we shouldn't expect either of the young guys to have a "break out" year, at least not at this stage.

yep, anybody who's not already getting Vick's attention that's been there, isn't likely going to just whip out and get 100 targets this year. Anybody who's at WR is second fiddle to Crumpler, which means they need a solid target, not a streaky screwup.

All I looked at there was the little bit about the Panthers and I barely skimmed over that.
Since so many prognosticators and early reviews have the Panthers making the playoffs at the very least then this lukewarm cup o’ douche is really just punctuating all of the inaccurate blindly biased stupid remarks by unwittingly implying that they will do EVEN BETTER than just making the playoffs.
