    ...I've got a $2000 budget limit (tax not included thank God).

    What's the best TV I can get for the price.

    don't spend $2k on something you're just going to settle for, get the one you want or wait, you're going to be watching it a long time before you get another one :twocents:

    $1300 for the 42" Panasonic Plasma
    $2700 for the 50"

    If you can stand a floor model, there are a number of LCD rear projections that are decent.
    If you can stand a darkened room setup, there are a LOT of projector/screen combos that give you 100" for under $2000...
