I wouldnt shoot them right off, but having two dogs of my own and 2 boys, I would imagine those Pit Bulls would give me cause to shoot them based on what happened to this lady and her dog.

Thomas Davis or not, his dogs going after anyone in my family on my property gets whacked.

    Period.

He needs to keep those pooches in a lot and or on a leash.

I nearly had to kill a shepard mix with my bare hands on Thursday.

On nice days I'll walk my dog (ON A LEASH) to school to pick up my son. We were walking home and our dog always attracts a crowd of my son's classmates, so we had 3-4 other kids walking with us. We walked by a house that was having a garage sale and suddenly I hear growling and a lady yell. I looked to my left and hear comes a bulky shepard mix with it's haunches up looking to attack.
I grabbed my dogs leash and spun him to the side as the dog lunged toward him but couldn't avoid the strike. I made sure to put me and my dog between the advancing mutt and the kids. The dog made a second rush and started to circle around me towards the kids.
At that point, instinct kicked in and I released the tension on the leash to let my dog go after her and I was about to put the boots to her as well.
The dogs owner came running over and managed to get the dog to back off with a verbal plea. The lady appologised and said her dog "normally" doesn't do that.
I said, "Normally, your dog should be tied up or on a leash, especially with the kids getting out of school."

If it had gone a second further, I'd have had to go after the dog myself because the kids couldn't have gotten out of the way in time and no doubt would have hurt.

yep, i'd have let him know once, and the 2nd time the dogs would get a broadhead. now that's only if they were causing trouble.

Man if I had his money I'd have 100 acres down near Buford SC or Pageland the dogs could run all day pretty much and maybe kill a deer or two.

If more people carried guns, and more vicious dogs that are let run loose get shot, maybe those idiot owners would start to tie them up. Every time I leave the house I carry a pistol, (yes I have a permit). Never had to use it, never had to pull it. But as the saying goes, better safe than sorry.
