from the disturber about a month ago...http://www.charlotte.com/mld/observer/14321723.htm

Doesn't it seem like you've heard his melodic, nine-syllable name forever? In Panthers history, only Emmanuel McDaniel had a name as fun to say.

"How old are you?" I asked Biakabutuka.

    "I'm 32," he said.

Only 32?! Biakabutuka has stayed in Charlotte since football ended.

He dabbled in real estate and now owns and manages two Beya jewelry stores -- one in Birkdale Village, one in the Ballantyne area.

"We sell high-end jewelry of all sorts, and we also have a lot of Christian jewelry," Biakabutuka said. "I'm even getting into designing a few of the Christian pieces myself."

    • Biakabutuka is one of many NFL alumni who will gather at Gastonia's Sims Legion Park on Saturday, April 29, for a charity softball game. Gates will open at 10 a.m., and the activities will include a home-run exhibition and autographs. The softball game will start about noon.

It's the "Oh shit, my foot is broken again" necklace, Biakabatuka's hottest selling item.

Would have been nice to see the numbers he could have put up if he would have had a healthy career. I still remember the Redskins game with those breakaways he had. A lot of talent that never had a chance because of injuries..

Injury prone back who fumbles too much, are we talking Foster or Biakabatuka?

Foster fumbles too much? Must've missed that memo.

    Bad dreams????

Re Tim and the Redskins game:

Do you think George Seifert ever has nightmares about pulling a back in the second quarter who had a very, very good chance of not only breaking but smashing the all-time single-game record for rushing?
