    I have a licensed copy of XP pro. It's on a machine. I want to buy another machine and use the same disc.

    What's the risk?

    You won't be able to use it on both, but if you're gonna just use it on the new one you should be okay... there are jus a couple steps you've gotta do to get it transferred to the new PC.

    You can illegally use it on two machines without a problem.
    Given YOUR cost, you should buy a copy if you really want XP Pro vs. Home...

    I havent bought a copy of windows. Ever. Probably never will. Already have a Vista beta running.
