Of Course, Minnesota could really speed it up if they fall asleep again.

Sigh. TFY (which stands for Tony from York). He is SI's guy now on the side. Rob Rang. PFW.

I didnt go back and check them to make sure.

As long as we're doing initials, its LDE, Collin. :imagestor:

Also, just to round up, its 15 min each for the 1st round. And they take every second, unless Minn doesnt turn in its card. They sit and wait for trade offers, chat with the draftee, etc. 10 min for the second round, and 5 min after that.

Thankfully, they only add 2 extra minutes if there's a trade. The team needs to have its act together before they do the trade.

Unless Dan Hennings is no longer our OC, I see no reason to even consider a 1st round TE. Pope is the only one worth the pick that MIGHT be there at #27.

If we move out of the #27, it should be down this year.

I didn't know that's what TFY stood for. Tony's awesome, used to get his draft books free because we were editors/site heads on the same network. Used to talk to him all the time, hell I use his tiramisu recipe.

I got the book one time. The only thing in it that wasnt online was a glossary, which was neat, and that tidbit. Glad to hear you got to speak with him.

Is there any way the Panthers package a whole lot of picks to move into the top 5-10 range? I'm thinking with Smitty saying he was watching TEs heavily this season, which I read somewhere, that they may try to move way up and grab Davis. Don't know if that is feasible or not though with a package of sorts. Some of you guys know the points system of draft picks and I don't so please help me out.

It's been covered, but I think the consensus is that it would cost too much.

The reason I mention that above, also, is that I read that the Panthers will only hope to retain two to three draft picks on the active roster, so couldn't they deal a lot of their picks to get two to three big time rookies?

No. As he said, it's already been covered. We don't have enough picks to make that kind of move.
