he's been mentioned, potentially being about even with maroney. If white falls out of the first and a team has a choice between Addai and Maroney, I think it's even odds. But I say that knowing I feel like Addai is a better player, so I'm skewed.

I gotcha. After I posted it, I realized what topic I was in.

Funny thing, my dad is a pretty damn smart football fan, and a die hard Vikes fan and Gophers fan. Obviously he hails from Minnesota, but anyways, he told me that Maroney is the best back in the class.

Its just a statement from a pop, but still, the fucker knows his football, and absolutely gushed on Maroney. Interesting I guess....eh....

Didn't someone call me crazy when I mentioned Ernie Sims earlier? I think I mentioned him being a great pick if he fell to the Panthers and now all of a sudden there he is being talked about in the early teens? And to think the experts on here say he was too small. I saw one report that compared him to former FSU great Derrick Brooks, so I guess the experts feel he's big enough.
Just my thoughts, but I believe this guy will be a great player in the NFL. His motor runs non-stop. And me saying he'll be a great player is something, b/c I absolutely hate FSU! Respect is due so I give it to him.

I was one that said he was too small and not real durable, however, his measurables are very good and he plays "bigger". I thought of him as a SS convert until I saw that he had actually gained a little weight at the combine.

Good call, hasbeen99. Chad Jackson wasn't mentioned above the third round that I know of before blowing up the combine.

    44magnum:
Dude, if you were less stupid (maybe that's why you went to State), you'd remember that we said Sims was too small for SLB. No one said he'd be too small overall. In fact, you were hardly the first to suggest that Sims would go in the first round.

    solarte:
Cromartie is kind of like McGahee. Before his knee injury, he probably would have gone top 10.

    Bastardo:
Bunkley rose, but he was already a borderline first rounder before workouts.

Jackson was still considered in the higher group before the combine, I'd thought; within the top 5 or so, I'd thought. Jones came out of being maybe a 5th, 6th round pick to be a late 1.

Cromartie did work his way back up. He's red hot right now. But yeah, he was well thought of, before.

I don't know that Jones was ever thought to be a 5th or 6th rounder. And as for Jackson, GBN didn't have him in their top 5 receivers before the combine.
