    Precisely.

He made an impact. You could argue that he was the most active player on kickoff coverage, and he was absolutely essential in the team's ability to neutralize Vick.

The only reason I disagree with you is that I like smart players (especially at QB), and Alex Smith is a freaking genius. Physically, though, it's no comparison -- Young has Smith beat in every way possible.

I'll give him this -- he would've scored more than one freaking touchdown in his rookie season, even if he only threw for one (unlikely), he would've rushed for at least 5.

Alex Smith might be Stephen Hocking's son. To me, it's more about instincts and work ethic than an SAT score. But, yea, dude is a mensa.

I hoped for and expected more, but just getting this out of him and sweeping ATL for the first time in the Fox era was huge for me. Not a bad consolation prize as far as I'm concerned.

By that standard, practically everyone on the football team made "an impact." I'm not criticizing the Davis pick, because I've said all along that I think he'll become a star at LB, but you were wrong to suggest that Fox has always drafted people who contributed as rookies.

What I said initially what that all four of his 1st rounders have made significant impacts in their rookie year. Hiding in the bushes, you pounced on the word "significant" immediately. So, fuckface, I re-worded it just for you to just "impact." By impact, I mean that each of the four played enough, and well enough, to make a difference in several wins, if not all of them. He didn't rot away on the bench. Not many first-rounders do, but there are a few each year. Point was, Fox has drafted well in the 1st round all four years.

And....no....by no standards did "everyone" on the roster make an impact. Don't be a shitdick about it.

Aren't you supposed to be ignoring my posts? And haven't you made numerous statements criticizing me for the behavior you're demonstrating now?

Anyway, the point was that you shouldn't expect the team to select someone in the first round that they will definitely use as rookies. Thomas Davis played little and didn't have much of an impact, although he should do so as soon as this season. Similarly, Chris Gamble wasn't supposed to play much until injuries forced him into the lineup.

Peppers was a no-brainer, and while Gamble has worked out pretty well, Gross is definitely not what you'd expect a tackle taken 8th overall to be. Their 1st round record is certainly a lot better than their disasterous 2nd round record, but again, I wouldn't sell this as a fact when it's something of a mixed bag (although if Thomas Davis is as good at LB as I expect him to be, that will make their record more impressive).

I am demonstrating distain for an asshole, and yes, you are off the ignore list. You know why? I changed my fucking mind. I decided it was a pussy move, and I admit that.....with that said, go fuck yourself.

You attack others as much as anyone, and you often launch the first grenade. You just do it in your "hi there, I am the Jeffersonian assbag" type of way. Again, just shoot me a memo when you achieve something with your professional life. Until then, you are nothing more than Collin from TBR.

And, I was absolutely correct about the first rounders. There is no more debating it. I was also right in calling your pussy-ass out on late round quarterbacks. "Almost never" is not the same as "rarely." You should know this, you cemantic-driven shithead.

And...as far as personal attacks, I once remember you telling someone here that you were going to dig up their dead mother and bang her....or you'd make him bang her....I don't recall the exact rotten context in which that gem was worded, but it told me all I needed to know about your fucking character.
