By all accounts, LenDale is the "me" guy while Bush was an excellent teammate.

well I'd rather draft White at #27 than Bush at #1

I can understand that, but I'd rather have Bush than White. I'd never want to be drafting first.

I have a sneaking suspicion this thread will get a bump 6-8 months from now.

I'd love to have Reggie Bush on this team. Every-down back or not. Hell, I'd kill for the chance to build an offense around him. Him, Jake's spastic ass, and Smitty in motion all over the field. You could run nothing but draws and still move the ball. And Henning would be in heaven with the draws and all.

I don't know that calling him a bust is fair, but I don't see him living up to the hype.
And I DO agree, with the idea, that Bush benefited from those around him...however no more or no less than White. Comparing the two isn't fair in my eyes, they are totally differnt types of backs, but to say White benefited from those around him and Bush didn't...just doesn't make sense to me, too convenient.

Bush and Leinart both benefitted from being a good team, but not even close to as much as White did. Bush specifically has moves that cause people to miss regardless of whether or not they're blocked, and his breakaway speed means that he can make a play all by himself. No one else on the team gave him great hands, superior agility, or incredible acceleration. Then Leinart does look better because of his blocking, since he isn't the most mobile guy, but again no one else on the team is causing him to be an exceptionally accurate passer or to display phenomenal touch on the ball. Meanwhile White does run with power, has good feet, and shows solid vision, but many of the yards and scores he racked up were the result of superior blocking. I am not at all convinced that he can consistently produce against defenses that are not blown off the ball at the snap. Maybe he can, but because of the team he played on, he never had to show that ability.
