Add 69 receptions to that total and it becomes a lot better looking.

And according to the Yahoo stat page on him, 4 of his 5 fumbles were lost.

I just wanted to know the official number. He still droped the ball. Ive seen him drop a few that luckily bounced out of bounds. But that could have been pre-season.

Can this be right? NFL.com lists Stephen Davis as having 24 fumbles in his career, but exactly zero were lost.

Heh, thanks. That made more sense, as I looked it up to make the point that SD wasn't the best at securing the ball either.

A guy can certainly be fumble-prone without losing them. That said, Foster is neither "fumble-prone", nor does he lose fumbles very often. The stigma was slapped on DF coming out of school, so I understand why outsiders still might label him fumble-prone.

Good point about the 69 catches. Foster touches the ball quite a bit, and should continue to, provided good health.

I was going to say, "It's hard to fumble in the training room." :94poopban

'03: 139 touches (113 rushes, 26 receptions), 3 fumbles, 3 lost. So roughly one fumble every 46 touches.

    '04: 68 touches (59 rushes, 9 receptions)... zero fumbles.

    '05: 239 touches (205 rushes, 34 catches), 2 fumbles, one lost.

Add '04 & '05 together and you get one fumble every 153.5 touches.

I'd like a back because we eat them up, but I expect a really good year from DeShaun this year.

I remember a lot of people saying that around this time last year.

I was probably one of them. But he did have a pretty good season.

It was the Davis/Shelton/OL can't get push clusterfuck that hurt us at least as much as his injuries, IMO (which I know isn't highly regarded, lol, but one I'm entitled to). OL has been somewhat addressed and I believe RB depth will be too when all is said and done.
