Buffalo Blanks the Canes

    On the final night of the regular season and with the number 1 seed in the Eastern Conference on the line, the Hurricanes don't show up and the Sabres skate off with a 4-0 in Raleigh.

    Carolina gets the second seed and Montreal in the first round of the playoffs.

    New Jersey takes the Altantic Division and the number three seed and will play the New York Rangers.

    Buffalo earns the 4th seed and will play Philidelphia.

    The number one seed Ottawa gets Tampa Bay in the first round.

    If I'm a Canes fan I'm thinking this isn't such a bad loss. I'd rather play the Habs in the first round than Tampa. Plus, with Ottawa bound to lose before the conference finals, home ice is still a possibility.

    I'm just glad the Sabres aren't playing Jersey in round one.

    Canes lose 4 out of their last 5 :( :( !!!! But hey, I care more about them winning their next 16, wouldn't y'all agree :D :D ? ? ? Only thing that stinks is the Canes/Habs series isn't going to be on NBC at all . . . Boooooo :mad: :mad: !!!!!!!!!
