Seattle's coverage of Smith was a gimmick. They were jamming him at the line with a linebacker, something other teams won't do and something that Seattle could do only because we were incapable of running the ball. Other teams were already doubling Smith over the top with a safety, so it's not as if he'll see any new coverage that will prevent him from getting his. If he does see a decline, it will be because Delhomme won't feel compelled to force the ball, not because defenses are devoting any more attention.

Most everyone on the roster was to blame for the embarassment in Seattle, particularly the two offensive linemen that will not be returning in 2006.

He is no Moose. He is a Keyshawn Johnson.

Keyshwan has been a consistently better player over his career than Moose has. Not to say at times Moose was not better but over the long term Key is a better player.

Keyshawn is not known for dropping balls at the most inopportune time, like Moose. Judging by the play in the regular season up at Soldier Field, the change of scenery didn't help Moose with his amnesia hands (forgets how to hold on to the ball). Don't get me wrong, I didn't mind it so much since he was playing for the other team.

I think he's got it backwards. Moose isn't the one with the ring, so that would make Moose no Key in my book.

    Hey! Here's my segue!

:satana: Speaking of Moose and the Bears...
and I can't remember if this was discussed anywhere in another thread, but I've read where most of the Bears fans are absolutely giddy with the prospect of signing RMJ. Here's a link I found to a Bears board:

:handbang: All I can do is laugh at them.

I didn't read the whole thread but of what I read it seemed to be divided between thinking he would be a good nickle back (which isn't far fetched) and thinking he wasn't worth a 3rd rounder. I didn't see giddy.
