    CC-

Just the general concept of labeling a player "injury prone" is a little too common, and usually written w/o proper context. I am, too, worried that Jenks will get hurt again. But no more worried than I am that anyone else might go down.

Foster should run lower. I understand that it exposes him. However, didn't break his ankle last year b/c of running too high. Had that not happened, he would have started the NFCC, finished the season healthy, and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

It's a semantical argument. Fact is, they both have been dinged up lately. Hopefully, that will change.

One of my best friends as a kid had the middle name Mary. His first name was Alan but they called him Algie for some reason (maybe his given name was really algernon). His mother was a Giant and his Father was a really old crotchety phucker, really old if you catch my drift, Johnny Walker scotch drinking old. Just thought you all needed to know that useless tidbit.

Agreed, in fact it was very similar to Smittys, getting rolled on by a LB.

But i will be more worried about the health of Jenks, Foster and Morgan than other players.

Funny thing is, and an article by the observer brought it front and center again. We let our LB with the most starts EVER walk, Spoon. I really worry we'll regret investing in Foster over Spoon. I hope to be proven wrong.

Foster would have finished the season healthy, but that wouldn't have given him a full season. Already got banged up earlier in the year.

Running high didn't cause his ankle to break. But he does take a ton of hits, and doesn't go down when he should, which is a bad combination for injuries. Which he's had a ton of.

Well damn, don't I feel like the ass. Damn Afro-spelling got me again.

So? Aside from knees, players rarely keep injuring the same part of the body but there are obviously a number of injury-prone players. Injury-prone simply refers to a greater likelihood of experiencing an injury and missing playing time. Morgan and Foster both undeniably fit, while it's getting harder to make the case that Jenkins isn't, although previous healthy seasons work in his favor. And regarding Foster, he's been injured every year of his pro career while also having injuries in most of his college career as well. Anyone who thinks he shouldn't be considered injury-prone should be considered stupidity-prone.

It's not so much that they overpaid Morgan (which they still did), but that they paid him too soon. Spoon should have been the one to receive a new deal last summer. Had Morgan gone on to play a full season and dominate (didn't happen), then you consider taking care of him. But Hurney got punked by Rosenhaus. Or by his own carelessness.

I dont know that Morgan got overpaid, he got market value. He had injury concerns. Thats what bothered me, not the amount. Witherspoon seemed the more prudent choice to invest in but maybe they figured they'd keep both and this was the classy way to do it, Morgan had more tenure. Maybe they truly drafted Davis with the intent of replacing Spoon since WLB's appear to be easier to find. I dont think Hurney got punked by Rosenhaus. I think they love Morgan and rate him higher than we all seem to. In fairness to Morgan, he didnt suffer another concussion so that's a good sign going forward.

In rating a player, I sure hope one of their criteria is dependibility.

Morgan and Foster would suggest they're flexable in that department.:imagestor
