The Redskins hosted 58 NFL draft-eligible prospects who have ties to local colleges or high schools yesterday in an annual event at Redskins Park. Maryland linebacker D'Qwell Jackson has the highest profile in the group; the potential first-round pick did not participate in workouts, but was available to chat with team officials.

ALABAMA senior linebacker DEMECO RYANS has reported to the NLS Staff that he has received additional attention from Carolina and San Francisco, since the NFL Combine.

FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL senior wide receiver CORY MCKINNEY has reported to the NLS Staff that he has been invited to workout at the local Pro Day held by the Miami Dolphins, as well as preparing for an on-campus private workout shortly… he has been contacted by at least five other teams, including Carolina, Chicago, Indianapolis, Kansas City and NY Jets, a private workout that was scheduled for Friday, March 24th was cancelled due to the poor weather conditions (rain).

MARYLAND senior linebacker D’QWELL JACKSON has reported to the NLS Staff that he expects to have several private visits over the next few weeks with Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Carolina and New England potentially on the list.

MIAMI senior cornerback/return man TANARD DAVIS has reported to the NLS Staff that he has been contacted by at least six teams, including Miami, Kansas City, Carolina, Chicago, NY Jets and Indianapolis, a private workout that was scheduled for Friday, March 24th was cancelled due to the poor weather conditions (rain).

USC junior safety DARNELL BING had a private meeting with members of the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday afternoon... which was followed by a similar type meeting with the Carolina Panthers, including head coach John Fox on the night before his Pro Day on April 2nd... he plans to visit San Francisco in the next few weeks... also spent a good amount of time talking to former USC standout defender Mark Carrier, who was on-hand to evaluate prospects for the Baltimore Ravens.

USC junior running back LENDALE WHITE had a private meeting, which included an interview session, with both members of the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos over the weekend in-and-around the time of his Pro Day.

VIRGINIA senior quarterback/wide receiver MARQUES HAGANS has reported that he has received a lot of extra attention from several teams that are saying he could play the "Slash" role for them, including Dallas and Carolina.

 

Ryans would be good here. I like that. Granted, that doesn't mean anything, they scout everyone. But he would work well here. One between he and Davis would play SLB, and we'd be ridiculously fast. Except for Kemo.


I'm assuming Bing's reported visit with us was the dinner he had scheduled, and not another separate
