The Carolina Hurricanes win the 5 game series with the Capitals 3 games to 2 with back to back wins at Washington including tonight's 4-3 victory. The Canes score 3 shorthanded and one powerplay goal with Kevyn Adams and Justin Williams (2) scoring the shorthanders and Eric Staal gets the powerplay goal.

Alexander the Great gets a goal and an assist and tops 100 points for only the second rookie in the history of the NHL.

Carolina nows sits on top of the Eastern Conference with 108 points tied with Ottawa.

How the fuck do you keep ending up in here? The ACC doesn't have a team in the NHL, go away.

There are two schools of thought here. Tampa Bay has kicked our butts this year (Canes are 2-4 against the Bolts), so most would want to avoid the Lightning. Others seem to believe that "to be the man, you have to beat the man." No better way to start a cup run than destroying the defending champs.

Personally, I do not want to face anyone in our division (no Thrashers/Lightning please).
