BTW, my sister called me this evening, talking about the new house they're building, and she said Collin Branch lives in the neighborhood.

Not at all. TD is hopelessly lost in zone coverage.

Just don't see it. He looked no more behind in his progress there than anywhere else.

Have the Panthers resigned Weinke? The last I read he was going to Baltimore and 1 other city.

Also Shelton seems to be highly respected. I know he spent the year on IR, but there is a lot of buzz about him.

Our running backs look freakin terrible. We had the second lowest rushing game in the NFL. The only team worse than us was Arizona and now they have Edgerrin James. Foster is either going to be decent (at best) or he will get injured and then the Panthers will be royally screwed

I have been singing the song about running back depth for a while so I agree on that. I think if Foster stays healthy he will be pretty good though. He was running very well at the end of last season. His game against the Giants was one of his best. He waited on his blocks and showed good decision making on which hole to hit. I think the game is finally starting to slow down for him.

Which is why it's odd that people are so mystified by a linebacker they've not seen, when we don't have to have a blue chip guy there.
Need a back more. I just don't like our actual options there.
