    With Michael Irvin I'm just saying give me someone in the booth who has the knowledge of the game and can keep me interested during a monotonous, boring game.
    I don't think Gumbel has that ability. He's too bland for the casual football fan.
    Irvin can keep a new NFL watcher right there.
    He was just the first name that popped in my head when comparing someone to Gumbel.

    Shouldn`t the game keep you there under its own merits? Irvin is too over the top for me. I`m don`t want to be distracted from the game by some loud-mouth. I can actually go to the game to hear that.
