Entertaining article. He calls Ronde Barber an Uncle Tom. He really, really hated Gruden at the time that article was written (likely has cooled off some in the intervening two years). He admitted saying to Gruden, 'Come on, m----- f-----. You know why I don't like you.' Wow.

Our Offensive philosophy is "feed the stud." If KJ comes here and is the stud he'll get his passes. If not...

The question in my mind is Ricky Proehl or Keyshawn Johnson; which would you prefer at this point at the (expected) cost difference?

Its Keyshawn or Colbert, thats the way i see it. Not unless Moulds suddenly drops his asking price.

Proehls a #3 at best and can be had for next to nothing financially. He'll cost youth development with a roster spot if anything.

I dont see a rookie making an impact anything close to what Key could either.

Yes the move might mean Proehl doesnt come back. But he was supposed to retire a year ago already.

Jake might not take Meshawn in a fight but Jake has five three hundred pound offensive linemen whose only job is to protect Jake. I really doubt Meshawn wants to actually throw a punch at Jake.

Our offensive philosophy must change...it has to be "feed the studs" plural. Smith cannot do it alone. We need another weapon. Whether it is a running back, another receiver of Thelt's tight end is immaterial. Key may be the weapon. I know that risks are involved but I do believe they are manageable ones.

Edit: Hurney and Fox must determine if Key can still be considered a stud.

No one knows Mould's asking price.

Well, I view TO as complete, and Johnson as not. He'd be an immense upgrade, assuming that we're looking for someone to make shorter routes, but maybe we are.

Dude has caught alot of balls. He consistently catches alot of balls. He is a huge upgrade over Colbert, Carter, or Proehl.

If we pay Foster an average of $5 million, how is Johnson not worth $3-$4?

Also - I trust the staff regarding his attitude. I just don't see them signing a problem.

    I'm kinda skeered though.

Johnson's consistency shows - the fewest catches he ever caught in a season he played every game was 71. He's not smitty - but he's a better receiver than Moose. I believe that.
