shit thats probably not good...should never cross the streams...

Dr. Egon Spengler:There's something very important I forgot to tell you.
    Dr. Peter Venkman:What?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Don't cross the streams.
    Dr. Peter Venkman:Why?
Dr. Egon Spengler:It would be bad.Dr.
Peter Venkman:I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean "bad"?
Dr. Egon Spengler:Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously, and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.Dr. Raymond Stantz:Total protonic reversal!
Dr. Peter Venkman:Right, that's bad. Okay, alright, important safety tip, thanks Egon.

If you look back at his tenure, Fox seems to gravitate toward hitters and intimidation at the position. Maybe that's part of his "Crash" background, since that is also how he played.

well, he came out of UCLA as a FS, too. He does and can play the ball well.
He's big, he can do either if he's healthy, but that's the "if". The "interchangeability" argument always gets hung up on the fact that they obviously have slightly different responsibilities, but it's been proven that we can move then back and forth. Hell, they even wanted to compete Richardson and Cooper at FS.

We needed the depth, either way. Doesn't keep us from drafting a safety, but does give us a guy who keeps us from needing a safety badly enough to do something stupid.

the good thing about it is we are an attractive place to come for a year at a reasonable rate for guys like this, who have something to show the league before they get paid like they'd like to.

Jason Allen seems to be moving up draft boards since his hip injury seems to be better than it first appeared. At what point would that be stupid?

I would rather sign a young guy trying to prove himself but is healthy. I am doubtful about Williams having anything left. He has been injured for too long. Who knows though, it probably did not cost us much.

    Bashir part 2?

Woo! TN safeties with borking hips - collect the whole set!

No, seriously, I like Allen. Might be too much of a cover safety for our standards, but that's not a bad problem to have. At 27? maybe not.

Allen is definitely a cover guy first.

Like his attitude though. He's a winner. I saw the injury happen live, and it scares the hell out of me on draft day.
