I bought a SanDisk Cruzer Micro flash drive a month or 2 ago..
i had stuff stored on it.. not very much but stuff i need...

When i stick in the USB port , windows goes thru the found new hardware stuff... then says its ready to use...
My problem is .. it cant be found.
i can click on the safely remove hardware icon in the tray and see it there ... i can even get it to uninstall it.. but i cant locate it in my computer anywhere...

Anyway.. if anyones had this problem and corrected it or someone knows how to correct it. just hollar...

i'm hoping its something simple ...otherwise i guess its dead...

You probably have your settings to "take no action" when the drive is inserted. It probably automatically sets up as a local drive. Look in explorer to see if you have a E or F drive or something like that.

There is a patch from Microsoft that fixes this problem. It started with an update from Windows most likely. Had the same issue with cds dvds and usb drives. If I can find it, I'll link it to you.

Try changing the drive letter to Z or something that hasn't been used under management.
