I downloaded some quality porn a couple weeks ago and got some nasty spyware that's giving me popups that shut down IE about every 20 minutes. I've downloaded Ad-Aware and whenever I run it, it finds about 26 bugs. I can remove them and rescan and they're back again. I've got Norton antivirus and ad-aware. I've gone to add/remove hardware and deleted everything I dont recognize.

    any suggestions?

    Scan in safe mode.

If you don't have a licensed copy of Ad-Aware, it doesn't have an active monitor. The Microsoft Antispyware is good for that, and now they've got some other wing-dingie thingie that Brain is evaluating. microsoft.com

Did you delete the porn? Every time you open it it's probably reloading what you just cleaned up. Did you run Ad-Aware full system scan or the standard smart scan? Always run the full scan.:twocents:

The other thing I do when I'm cleaning up spyware is to uninstall stuff that is obviously not legit. Some of the really nasty ones are actually registered applications.
