No one. By all accounts, BB was one of the more popular guys in the locker room. When will you learn to ignore anything PFT says?

I will not agree or disagree with PFT, but if you look at the facts about the Panther squad is that they tend to shy away from the media. Steve Smith could be the lead in every night on the NFL network (ala Bengal Chad) if he desired it, but mostly they have to hunt him down. I would say that is the general attitude of the team. Stay the course, keep focused and do not try and take on a individual persona that diminishes the team concept. While Buck was much better about being quiet this season, it is still no mystery that if there is a camera in the room Buck is going to find it. I guess the same could be said about Steve Smith, but that is ON THE FIELD. You hardly ever see him acting the fool out of uniform.

I seriously doubt there was any hate or contempt about Buck. But I do not think it a strech to say there may have been some discomfort in the locker room about that...

Buck NEVER sought out cameras. We went to him because he gave us great stuff to work with. I promise you PF, he is no pub hound. he was just too good of a quote to not talk to.

That is cool, perceptions are indeed a terrible thing from an outsider looking in...Thanks for the inside slant...

I know it may have looked that way seeing him on TV just about every wednesday, but he was a quotebox.

he didnt do interviews for like a month during the season--he got mad at a reporter for something, and said he wasnt talking about "pro football"....he would talk about anything else...then he canme back after a road win.

I think we are pretty thin inside without him and I would like to have him back. I was surprised when they cut him. If I knew Jenkins would be healthy this year it would be different but facing the prospect of starting Carstens and Moorehead this year is pretty scary. I am sure we will draft some one for the mix or pick up a free agent but our run defense is a bit iffy now after being a team strength most of last season.

I could understand the move given salary cap limitations, but with the elevated cap, I'd much rather have him back.

Something along those lines would be my guess too. I understand what Solarte says about them coming to BB and not the other way around, but still the situation existed. And when we say some discomfort, that could be 3 guys. He could be yacking in the wrong way behind closed doors to some people too. There also could be a few who felt he was spending too much time developing his career with NFL Network. Was that all offseason?
