Kinda hard for a WR not to have a better QB rating than any QB in any game when you throw one pass that gets caught for a TD. Just sayin'...

Because, as you noted, it cost them an opportunity at getting points, just as the penalties cost them a chance to get points. The difference being that game management was an element within their control. They wasted too much time at the end of the half, and had to settle for a prayer field goal. I think that they were getting a bit too cute with time. They were hoping that Pittsburgh wouldn't get another possession - and it backfired. Had the field goal been of reasonable length, Brown more than likely would have connected in an indoor environment, and that final drive probably would have mattered. Still, Hasselbeck throwing a quick out to Stevens (and Stevens, for whatever reason, tossing the ball away from the sidejudge) was a horrible decision that killed way too much time, as well as any lingering hope for Seattle.

Steelers are the CHAMPS, because the score was 21-10. The refs pretty much screw up a lot of games every season. It's funny to hear a bunch of adults whining about the refs. The first thing I tell my athletes, "The refs can't lose the game for you!!" If you allow the game to be that close, then you need to play harder.

Bottom line is both teams played like DOGSHIT!! You can sit there and say if, if, if.................and it really doesn't MATTER!!! So get over it. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS WITH FIVE SUPERBOWLS!!!!!

Its like I said in another post, steeler fans are like cockroaches, they appear out of the wood work when the team wins.

You are correct when you say they wasted a lot of opportunities. They had way to many dropped balls, Stevens wont open his mouth before a big game again.

However, you count discount the plays they made that were reversed by BS calls. You can make plays all day but if the officials so choose, they can reverse all of them. Obviously that is an extreme example. Seriously, look back on the calls the officials made. The ref in the endzone initially did not throw the flag, only after the CB petitioned for it. Then the line judge initially goes to mark Ben short of the endzone and then signals TD. Why the delays and changes to calls.

Obviouosly as a Panthers fan I hate the Seahwawks so I have no reason to "bitch and whine" or whatever, other than the fact that the calls went decidedly one way and I would like to know why.

That can be said for local teams as well.

Regardless of any hesitation it was clear that Jackson did push off. Sure that does not always get called but it should. He gained and advantage on the defender by pushing off. If you watch the right angle of that replay you can see the ref fumbling for his flag which made the delay seem longer.

On Roethlisberger's TD it was just too close to call. It looked to me like he broke the plane while in the air even though he landed short of the line. If they had ruled him short I would not have a problem either it was just too close to call. I do not see that as a pro-Steelers ref it was just a coin toss call.

As for the holding call on the pass to Stevens that happens all the time and maybe it was a bad call but the fumble Stevens had that was not called more than offsets it.

The personal foul on Hassleback was definately a bad call but it hardly decided the game. That touchdown to Ward would have been good from fifteen yards further out easily. He had plenty of room to run that much farther after the catch.

The Seahawks allowed that big third and twenty eight pass. They allowed that 75 yard TD run. They allowed the gadget play from Randel-El to Ward. They threw that pick when they had a chance to go up by 3. They mismanaged the clock at the end of the half and the end of the game. They have no one to blame the loss on but themselves. In fact if not for Herndon's pick it would not have even been close. It was about to be 21-3 at that point.

Sorry, I've been a Steeler fan all my life. Not like everyone else that rides the bandwagon. Whether they are 3-13 or 13-3...........I'm a Steeler fan true.

Do you still cheer for the Panthers when they are 2-14? Because most Panther fans don't. They give their tickets away.

FWIW, it was stuck in his pocket, which is why it was thrown late. I though the same thing at first, but the replay showed that he was trying to throw it before the DB argued.
