When I was younger there used to be a game where the college all-stars would play an NFL team every year. Anybody remember it and when did it go away?

Tell you what I would like to see, maybe on the Sunday between the Championship games and the Superbowl. is an NFL future all-stars game. NFC vs. AFC. let the players/coaches select teams of younger (maybe 5 years or less in the leaguer) guy's who didn't make the Probowl but who might be heading in that direction.

I remember those games. I think they stopped playing them after they started having super bowls. Anyhow, the All-Stars always got pounded. I think they always played the NFL champs. Very brutal for the newcomers.

Like they didn't see that coming. BTW, I had never heard of this type of game.

Maybe it would be interesting to see a college all-star game against the worst team in the NFL.

Yeah...the last game I remember was Walter Payton's senior season after already being selected by Chicago. It was played in Chicago and they cancelled the game in the 2nd half. The fog was so bad the players couldn't see each other.

Agents killed that game. They wouldn't let their clients play anymore.
