Moving the antenna won't help... its a digital signal so you either have it or you don't. There is no inbetween.

What you are talkinga bout is the wired fm modulator and it will help if you are getting static. It is only about $15 at CC and pretty easy to install. You may also need an adaptor for it to fit into the back of your headunit.

    That's about what I figured.

And it should plug from the FM port on my Sirius doc to the antenna port on my stereo head (maybe with an adaptor)? Sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?

I have a wireless FM Transmitter that work excellent, but you only get to choose between 4 stations...they make a digital one where you can choose any station you want...

you're free to drop by and pick it up to try it out

No catch... just a simple solution. I got one from CC last year for $15. I don't see it on their website now, but you can go in the store and ask them about it.

It's still an FM modulator so the sound still isn't as good as it would be if you had an aux input, but it does eliminate the static all together no matther what frequency you use.

Yep, that's what I have and I have zero problems. Just roll into Circuit City or Best Buy, tell them you have the Sportster and what type of head unit you have. They should be able to take care of it for you.

Ill have to ask my boss how he has his hooked up in his truck. All I know is it is very loud and I can understand every uncencored word that is sung. He reaches behind his seat to fiddle with something and the next thing I know music comes out crystle clear. He has his mounted just below his rearview mirror and plugs in three wires. I wont see him again until Wednesday though.
