I live at the beach, but thanks...
And I'd definately do the install.
And Bootay, you are correct, it would be for a dedicated theater. Although many current models aren't as affected by ambient light as they used to be, it's still best for a dedicated home theater.

    Glad you're happy with it.
If I had to wait 20 second to spin up, close drapes, and have a projector sticking out of my ceiling (let alone a big screen hanging on a wall) in my living room/den, I'd go insane. And then we've got bulb lifetime issues, cooldown times, "virtually" silent fans, etc. Like I said, it's great for some environments, but the vast majority of people wouldn't be happy with that solution.

Funny…I’ve yet to meet someone with a theatre room equipped with a projector/screen that doesn’t absolutely love it.

Bulbs last 3,000 hours…only cost $300 and are easy to change.

yeah, converting your great room to a threatre room may not be ideal.

I know a person who has the projector drop out of the ceiling...a screen pulled down from a wall entertainment center...and the drapes pulled all by pressing the on button on his projector's remote. Converts his great room to a theatre room in 15 seconds....then when he's done, it converts back to a great room with no visible signs it is also a theatre room.

What’s even stupider is when someone rings his doorbell (if he has the feature turned on), he has a camera out there that will display on his screen who is standing at his door…that way he doesn’t have to answer it if it is some dipshit selling shit.

he is a realtor who has money to blow and shit like this.

    Hey vp

Some rumors that it will have 1080p inputs too. Should be at the Sony show in March.

My problem with it fitting wasn't the depth, but the width. I only have room for a 42".

After talking with Meat, I am either going to be going with the industrial or commercial version of the 42" Panasonic EDTV.
